The Adel City Council was advised last week about a revised elections agreement that changed the charges for the County holding the municipal elections from a fee per registered active voter to an actual cost reimbursement basis plus a flat $500.

This should result in a substantial savings for the City of Adel, according to city officials.

Councilman Butch Fausett made a motion to execute the contract with the Cook County Board of Elections. Councilman Greg Paige seconded. The decision in favor was unanimous.

Also during the Monday, May 18, meeting of Adel City Council (members present: Mayor Pro-Tem Chandler Hill and Council Members Jody Greene, Greg Paige, and Butch Fausett):

Invocation was given by Councilman Paige.

Approval of minutes Councilman Fausett made a motion to approve the minutes of May 4, 2015 as presented. Councilman Paige seconded with all in favor.

GMA voting delegates Councilman Paige made a motion to appoint Mayor Pro-Tem Hill as the delegate and Councilman Fausett as the alternate for the annual Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) meeting in June. Councilman Greene seconded. All were in favor.
